Round 11 & 12 Elk River, MN

Back to the midwest. Elk River, MN the home of ERX Motorpark where racing is intense and fans come in droves, track design was different this year compared to its predecessor. We do love when the ISOC & ERX crew build the track to go around the pond. Are you a fan or you more of small track type? Let’s go head first into this weeks classes. Stock 200, Transition 8-10 & Pro.

I don’t think i’ve ever seen so many 200 riders, is the sport dieing? I THINK NOT! These kids did put on a show for the fans here at ERX, almost as exciting as the pro’s, we do see a pattern happening within these younger groups more explosive reactions getting on the box or even not making top 10’s, there is a lot to prove here on the big stage.

London Recreactional Racing(LRR) team’s Henry Dillon would get a great holeshot from the Studboy Traction starting line, commanding the lead lighting the candles, Dillon is currently in 3rd for points with a 54 point difference from first. #127 of Dillon got back on the box this time in second place still gaining good points towards the championship but will it be enough come championship weekend in Duluth? Koy Maruska a new face to the podium a local from Clearbrook grabbing silver having a huge smile on the box, we hope to see more of this kid In the future. Bryson Mckelvey takes home bronze another from Minnesota, we’ve seen this kid have great rides in the past and the hard work paid off securing 3rd Friday night. Second leg of the weekend the 200 competitors started their motors again to compete chasing the podium medals once more. Tessa Naastad holding second place points over Dillon takes the victory caping off the weekend with gold along with great momentum for Eagle River Derby Complex. Henry would fight an up hill battle leaving Elk River with silver. Third goes to Vincenzo Diorio #88, we should call him “Ironman” this young man competes in a lot of races in the midwest series and does quit, winning with dominating fashion.

One class to pay attention if your attend each weekend or watch on Floracing is Transition 8-10. Throttle blocks and half throttles don’t stop these young boys and girls from sending it. Battles fired up early Friday’s final, Travis Bellerive fending off harding charging Jack Gelinas for the win. Kolton Kappes put in a great ride as well snagging third. The field would rest Saturday with only one returning contender from Friday also seeing two cousins on the box battling it out for second & third. Holden & Noah Kuhn left everything on the track giving the fans what they came to see. Jack Gelinas would prevail leaving with gold around his neck, inching closer and closer to Travis in points. This may be another battle that comes down to Duluth weekend. We shall see!

Well ladies and gents. Pro class brought the heat, we saw a new partnership for the lone wolf Arctic Cat race team Kyllo Racing. CF Moto jumped on board which is a big move, especially when they have been investing a lot into AMSOIL Championship Snocross. Jacob Yurk would come out of the weekend with a 5th from Friday and 10th Saturday not the results he wanted to showcase, good efforts make Kyllo Racing the most favorable in the pits. Keep up the good work, put it on the box these last two weekend! #200 was back on the track still favoring that wrist did his best with a 9th overall his best finish in the triple crown format. Per usual Emil Harr dominated the weekend on his Judnick Motorsports Polaris sled. Warnert Racing Jordan Lebel hard charged it all weekend Friday was his best effort snagging silver over Benham who got the fastest qualifing, Benham is really getting comfy on his Cottew Motorsports Polaris ending Fridays night show with bronze, himself and his whole team had another celebration yet again following his great success in New York. Fans do love Team LaVallee we could hear them from across the track. Adam Peterson & Ryley Bester took second & third. First Pro podium for Bester, this young phenom put on a great showing putting it to the vets in the class. Congrats boys!!

Back to snowmobile country in Wisconsin. Eagle River Derby Complex welcome back to the tour can’t wait to see the racing you bring the fans!!
